Premium Tax Credits and Filing

If you don't report financial help you received to the IRS, you will not be eligible for advance payments of the premium tax credit to help pay for your coverage in the future. 

Make sure you complete your annual federal income tax filing before renewing your coverage. 

You're required to reconcile the amount of the financial help (or Advance Premium Tax Credit) on your tax return using IRS Form 8962. Use the information from Form 1095-A to file Form 8962 to help the IRS complete the reconciliation.
